The Anambra State Police Command has made significant strides in comb@ting cr!.me, announcing the @rre.st of over 300 s<.spects and the rescue of numerous v!.ctims during a press briefing held at the Police Command Headquarters in Awka.
Commissioner of Police, CP Nnaghe Obono Itam, revealed that the Command has made notable progress in tackling various cr!.minal activities from January 2024 to the present, including armed r0bbery, k!.dnapping, cült!.sm, child tr@ff!cking, and public disturbances.
Key achievements include:
The @rr€st of over 300 süspects for various crī.mes, with more than 30 convictions secured and ongoing trials.
The rescue of 14 k!.dnapped v!.ctims unharmed.
The recovery of 43 unexpl0ded improvised devices and 100 firearms, including AK47 rifles and locally made pist0ls.
Over 2,900 rounds of ammunit!0n and 40 st0len vehicles have been recovered.
