A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Ayekooto Akindele, has declared that President Bola Tinubu will win both the North and South in the 2027 presidential election regardless of opposition efforts.
Akindele stated that no matter how aggressively former Kaduna Governor Nasir El-Rufai and former VP Atiku Abubakar try to incite the North, Tinubu will still secure victory by a wide margin.
In a post on X, he wrote:
“See, no matter how hard El-Rufai and Atiku push the North against Tinubu, TINUBU will still win both the North and the South by a landslide in 2027.”
This comes after Atiku and El-Rufai recently formed a coalition aimed at unseating Tinubu in 2027. While reactions have been mixed, many believe Tinubu will still clinch a second term.
Last month, Atiku and El-Rufai met with Northern opposition leaders in Kaduna, including a visit to Ex-President Buhari.
