Kaduna State Governor Uba Sani has expressed confidence that the All Progressives Congress (APC) will sweep the 2027 general elections, from the presidential to the state assembly levels. Sani made this declaration on Saturday during a mega rally at Murtala Square, where 50 political stalwarts defected to the APC.
According to Sani, the APC’s popularity and acceptability stem from its just leadership at both the state and federal levels.¹ He emphasized that the party has come to stay in Kaduna State, the entire North, and Nigeria as a whole.
Sani assured the new members that they would enjoy the same rights and privileges as every other party member, stressing that the APC is one and will remain united up to 2027 and beyond. He noted that there is no difference between a recent party member and those who have been part of the APC for ten years.
The governor’s remarks came as he welcomed the 50 defectors to the APC, including former Senator representing Kaduna Central, Shehu Sani; former Governor of Kaduna State, Alhaji Mukhtar Ramalan Yero; and Senator Suleiman Hunkuyi, who was the NNPP gubernatorial candidate in the last election.
